President’s Welcome

President's Welcome

President Teddy Roosevelt encouraged the formation of the Navy League in 1902 because he knew a strong nation required sea power and maintaining that power required the support or our nation’s citizens.

The Greater Kansas City Council is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) membership organization that supports the sea services – the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S.-flag Merchant Marine. (Your donation may be tax deductible.)

We host programs that educate the public and our elected leaders on the importance of the sea services, support active-duty members, their families and their units, and most importantly, foster youth leadership development.

The Navy League depends on passionate individuals, like you, to carry our education and support mission forward.

No prior military service is required to be a member of the Navy League!

We need your support!

Click on the “Take Action” tab and let’s discuss how you can advocate for a strong sea service and be part of something bigger than yourself. Learn more
